The situation

The startup had an offer and no sales engine: no defined process, no pipeline system and no revenue yet.

The buyers were entrepreneurs looking to purchase an existing small business, such as a laundromat or a roofing company. The startup sold a done-for-you package that helped them find deals, vet them and complete due diligence, all the way to buying the business.

What was built

  • Defined sales process. A written process from first enquiry to signed package: qualifying questions, call structure, objection handling and clear pipeline stages, so every conversation with a would-be buyer followed the same path.
  • CRM and sales backend automations. The CRM was set up around those stages, with automations behind it. New leads were captured and routed, deal stages updated as buyers moved forward, and tasks and reminders were created so no one fell through the cracks.
  • Post sales call assets and follow-up automations. After each call, the right materials and next steps went out to the buyer quickly, and follow-up sequences kept deals moving until a decision was made.
  • Sales reporting system. A reporting view of the pipeline covering lead volume, conversion between stages, sales cycle and revenue, so decisions were made from numbers instead of guesses.

What this means for your business

A sales process that is written down is a sales process that can be automated: follow-ups, CRM updates, proposals and reporting. That is the work KenjiFlow now does for small businesses.
